About
Mexicanos en St. Louis is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing Mexican education and culture. Through our vibrant folkloric dance group, Alma de Mexico en St. Louis, we share authentic Mexican traditions via regional public performances and community collaborations.
The organization's mission operates through a few core focus areas:
- Cultural Performances: Showcases authentic traditional Mexican dances at regional events, including the Festival of Nations, Cinco de Mayo on Cherokee Street, Hispanic Festival and local Día de los Muertos celebrations at the History Museum. Dia del nino at the Magic House.
- Educational Outreach: Engages younger generations and the broader public through educational initiatives that teach the history and roots of Mexican traditions. We offer traditional dance classes for youth and adult beginners.
- Community Collaboration: Partners with regional groups, museums, and local organizations to foster diversity, inclusion, and cultural appreciation
