Project Manager Job Description

Position Summary

Missouri Constructors is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial outdoor construction projects from contract execution through final completion. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, client communication, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining the high standards and customer experience Missouri Constructors is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

1. Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from pre-construction through closeout

2. Review contracts, plans, specifications, and scope of work prior to project kickoff

3. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and schedules

4. Maintain project timelines and proactively address delays or challenges

5. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and production

6. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards

Client Communication

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project

2. Provide regular updates regarding schedules, changes, and progress

3. Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently

4. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism

Financial Oversight

1. Track project budgets, change orders, job costs, and profitability

2.  Approve invoices and verify subcontractor/vendor billing

3.  Assist in estimating and scope reviews when necessary

4.  Monitor labor efficiency and material usage

Team & Vendor Coordination

1. Coordinate with field superintendents, foremen, sales staff, vendors, and subcontractors

2.  Schedule deliveries and ensure material availability

3.  Hold subcontractors accountable for performance, quality, and deadlines

4.  Assist in recruiting and developing field personnel when needed

Documentation & Compliance

1.  Ensure compliance with local codes, engineering requirements, and inspection processes

2.  Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are followed

3.  Maintain organized project documentation including permits, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports

Required Qualifications

1.  Fluent Spanish speaking and writing skills are mandatory

2.  3–7+ years of construction project management experience

3.  Experience in hardscape, outdoor living, landscape construction, concrete, masonry, or sitework preferred

4.  Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations

5.  Ability to read plans, grading drawings, and construction documents

6.  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

7.  Experience with project management software and scheduling tools

8.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and estimating/project software

9.  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

Experience managing projects involving:

1. Paver patios and driveways

2. Retaining walls

3. Outdoor kitchens and fireplaces

4. Pools and pool environments

5. Landscape construction

6. Drainage and grading

7. Concrete and masonry work
